Welcome

BE BEAUTIFUL, BE YOU

Hello and welcome to my brand new blog!  My name is Candy Brenn, I'm 23 years old, and I'm a born and raised south Florida girl.  I'm a health and fitness fanatic and enjoy living an active and healthy lifestyle.  I work full time at a law firm and model part time.  I am proud to say I am a spokesmodel for the number one sports nutrition and supplement company, VPX Sports/Redline Energy.  Also, I am an NPC bikini competitor.  But enough about me, I made this blog for YOU!  I want to share easy and healthy recipes that you can incorporate into your daily schedule.  I hope you try them, like them, and enjoy them! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi there, I follow you on twitter and am a NEWBIE to the realm of #cleaneating and #bodybuilding. I am a recovering anorexic and YOU ARE AN INSPIRATION FOR ME! I wanted to know what certain foods are STAPLES for me to keep around in a little dorm fridge (Yep I'm a Senior in College-MIZZOU- and still in a dorm!) Any tips for me?

THANKS SO MUCH AND KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

    1. Hi Morgan! I'm overjoyed to hear that you are on the road to recovery! I have had friends suffer from anorexia and know that it is a very serious and complex disorder. There are numerous staples you can purchase at your local grocery store that are not only good for you, but good for your wallet too! Contrary to popular belief, eating healthy does not have to break the bank.

College students should look for affordable and healthy staples that are available throughout the year. Inexpensive protein, such as canned beans, canned tuna and eggs, are readily available and help build and repair tissues, as well as form antibodies to fight infection. Frozen vegetables are also a less expensive option that contains many nutrients, including fiber, potassium and vitamins A and C. Whole grains, such as oats and brown rice, can be bought in bulk to keep costs down and provide fiber, iron and other antioxidants.

I will create a post with additional affordable food options for those on a tight budget, so stay tuned! ;)

      P.S.
I wish you continued success in fighting anorexia and becoming a happy and healthy young woman and good luck with your college classes!
